ACV2

An independent publication exploring tradition as a living, evolving force — tracing how rituals, stories, identities and practices are inherited, challenged and reimagined across generations.

Project Summary

The second issue of ACV explored tradition across the UK and beyond, bringing together artists, writers, researchers and communities to examine the practices and stories that connect us to place, identity and one another.

Across 200 pages, the issue moved between food, folklore, land, dance, marriage, migration and queer resistance, exploring everything from pickling and foraging to Black British identity and the mythology of Albion. Rather than treating tradition as something fixed in the past, the issue considered how it is continually remade — and what inherited knowledge and practices might offer us in imagining the future.
